For nearly 60 years, Medical Center Hospital, a 362-bed community-based teaching health system, has served as the community’s hospital. West Texas Cancer Center Commendation
The Texas Oncology West Texas Cancer Center at MCH was dedicated in January 2007 and provides the most effective cancer treatments available today for the convenience of our local community. The approved cancer program at MCH has received commendation for its level of excellence by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

Comprehensive Cardiac Care
The best care always starts with advanced technology, patient-focused staff, and expertise in diagnosis. With the region’s only nationally recognized accredited 24-hour chest pain center and only Dual Source 128-slice CT scanner, patient’s benefit from MCH’s highest standards of care. Women’s Imaging Services
Medical Center Hospital is a leading provider of woman’s imaging services. MCH has recently expanded its women’s imaging services with the addition of two new digital mammography systems. Digital mammography allows MCH to provide patients with the highest quality of care in the prevention and early detection of breast cancer. MCH is also the only hospital in the region offering a "second read" of the mammogram with computer-aided detection (CAD) and is pleased to have the only fellowship-trained breast-imaging
physician in the region, Dr. Gina Campagna. With the ability to perform Stereotactic breast biopsy, MCH offers patients a minimally invasive alternative to surgical breast biopsy. As a result of minimal recovery patients can return to normal life activities within 24 hours of this procedure. MCH also provides women with advanced bone density detection. With DXA bone densitometry, MCH offers the “gold standard” of bone assessment methods as part of its comprehensive women’s imaging services.

Ronald McDonald Care Mobile
Medical Center Hospital along with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest, Junior League of Odessa and Children’s Miracle Network introduced the state-of-the-art Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program in September 2007. The Care Mobile is a pediatric medical clinic on wheels. MCH’s Care Mobile is the third in Texas and the 31st in the world. In a short period of time, Care Mobile has provided services to thousands of children who otherwise would have received little or no healthcare services.
